The Foundation of Sound: The Basslines of Doom Dogs

Hi friends, Jair-Rohm here.

It’s often said that the bass is the foundation of any band, and I take great pride in the role that I play in Doom Dogs. It’s been a long and winding road to get here! I’m a founding member of Machine Gun, have played with Embryo, and I’ve spent years refining my approach to the electric bass.

In Doom Dogs, I use an NS Design electric upright and bass guitars to add a rich and dynamic depth to our spontaneous compositions. I see my role as both a supportive and explorative one. I try to create a solid groove for Jonathan's dynamic drumming and Reeves' innovative guitar work, while also pushing the boundaries of our musical conversations.

My basses allow me to explore textures and soundscapes, blending experimental rock and jazz into a cohesive whole. My musical expertise and sensitivity are essential to our sonic exploration, and help bring our improvisations to life! It’s a powerful and exciting experience, and we can’t wait to continue to share this with you all.
